Barman/Barmaid
Location: Cap Lazare
Responsible To: Restaurant Manager
Duties and Responsibility:
Responsible for preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages and excellent guest drinking experience.
- Ensure that the bar is well stocked and replenished as required.
- Mix traditional and creative cocktails and mocktails by making suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
- Process payment from customers
- Clean glasses and bar utensils
- Ensure the requisition of all liquor, tobacco stock and other bar items
- Ensure that the bar area that it is always kept clean and tidy all times.
- Ensure that the price list is up to date and prominently displayed at all times
- Ensure that all payments and customers’ bills are handled and settled as per the company’s policy and procedures.
- Record and balance cash receipts and maintain the bar float
- Assist in carrying out the cleaning schedule whenever necessary
- Any other related duties as maybe assigned
Qualification and Experience:
- Certificate in Bar & Restaurant
- Bar tendering skills, stock control skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate well in English and French. A third language is an advantage.
