Activities / Nature Trail: Copolia
Creole invites you to explore the various hiking trails on the islands of Mahé & Praslin, in the heart of the Seychelles wilderness, offering you splendid plunging views of the lagoon and spectacular 360° panoramas. All our hikes are supervised by experienced and passionate guides, who will be happy to share with you the wonders of the endemic plants and birds of the Seychelles.
The first part of the walk is a descent through sandy secondary forests of cinnamon and rubber trees. As the trail climbs higher, many interesting endemic and indigenous plant species can be encountered. It is also the habitat of Seychelles’ endemic birds such as: the Seychelles Bulbul, Blue Pigeon and Sunbirds.
The exposed glacier with lack of soil and harsh condition has its special vegetation of endemic plants, including the vacoa (pandanus multispicatus) and the infamous pitcher plant (nepenthes bervillei). From the top, the views are magnificent over the east coast of Mahe, the islands of the St.Anne National Marine Park, and beyond to Praslin and La Digue islands.
