The walk is botanically interesting with many indigenous and endemic species which includes palms, pandanus, capucin and pitcher plants. Birds most likely to be seen are the bulbuls and blue pigeons. The trail is mostly in open areas, while white tailed tropic birds can be seen gliding below at viewpoints.

Magnificent views can be seen over Victoria, the islands of Ste Anne Marine Park and beyond to Praslin and La Digue.
